We are proud that we were nominated and then awarded finalist status in the Small Business of the Year category of the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce 2001 Business Achievement Awards. It is indeed an honour to be selected by Ottawa's business elite.
The successful businesses were judged on five contributions to Ottawa society. We thought the categories to be so well thought out that we wrote a Business Inspirational on them. This can be viewed in our Business Inspirationals section of this site as October 23, 2001 - "So How's the Business Doing?"
AND, when 2002 rolled around, we were again nominated and this time received the 2002 Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Silver Award for small business of the year.
We sincerely believe that community work is essential. Nicholas Newton was selected as one of the Chartered accountants in Ottawa to be mentioned in the CICA annual community service announcements for three years running. In addition, the Society of Management Accountants awarded Nicholas one of only two Community Service Awards given to their members in Ontario in 2003.
